Nurse gift ideas that get used every shift - their own face, on a mug. A syringe the size of a lamp post, two patients gripping the sheets, and a real face on the nurse holding it. Upload a photo and it becomes the mug that gets pointed at on the ward all week.

For the nurse in your family, or the one on your ward. Good for a graduation, a pinning ceremony, the end of a placement, a leaving do, Nurses Week in May, or the colleague who has earned it.

How it works

Upload one photo. The background comes off automatically and the face drops into the design, sitting behind the collar so the join never shows and their own hair stays on.

Pictures taken on a phone are always big enough - phone cameras shoot around 3000 x 4000 pixels and we need a minimum size of 1000 x 1000. Pick a clear, well lit one where the face is not small in the frame, and use the original from the camera roll rather than a copy forwarded through a messaging app, which gets shrunk.

A daft face beats a neat one. The joke is the mismatch between the expression and the uniform.

See the finished mug on screen before you approve and pay.
